Chin surgery, also known as mentoplasty. Is a procedure during which the chin is reshaped. This could mean planting an implant in the chin or reshabing the chin bone. In case of an implant, the procedure is perfectly safe as the implant does not move.  Chin surgery is most common when the person goes through a nose surgery and the procedure on the chin can improve the look dramatically.

Chin surgery can be used to correct bone defects. Such defects may create problems with the jaw and interfere with proper chewing.
