In addition, Dr. Mosser donates his time and skills annually to provide free pediatric plastic surgery to underprivileged children around the world. Through charitable organizations such as Healing the Children, and the Philippine Medical Society of Northern California, he provides surgeries to children with cleft lips, cleft palates, burn injuries, and traumatic deformities.

Philosophy
An editorial from Dr. Mosser about his philosophy:
Beauty versus Harmony

Dr. Mosser’s philosophy focuses on preserving the best features of your natural appearance, utilizing his knowledge of aesthetics to balance and improve the desired area of your face and body. Only by a thorough assessment of the patient, his or her goals and the surrounding anatomy can a surgeon provide a dramatic change while avoiding the “operated” look.  Dr. Mosser feels strongly that an improvement through plastic surgery happens through establishing harmony (link here to article as well), not by manipulating your fundamental appearance. Enhancing people’s lives and witnessing positive changes in self confidence are key reasons Dr. Mosser chose his profession, and are the reasons that he loves performing plastic surgery everyday.

You will be part of a thorough educational process and in-depth discussion about your personal goals, the available techniques, and the entire operative experience, such as anesthesia, pain medications and aftercare. Every effort will be made to ensure that you are comfortable with every step of the plastic surgery experience and that you are always aware of the supporting resources that our office provides.

Sample Procedures Offered

Breast Augmentation

There are a variety of reasons why women consider breast augmentation. Some women have breasts which are unevenly sized, and others have had previous surgical procedures on their breasts and need some element of reconstruction. Most women are simply improving their breast size and contour, with a goal of increasing their bra size by one or more cup sizes.

Breast surgery is tailored to each individual patient and a number of decisions need to be made with regards to the procedure. The selection of the breast implant shape and texture, fill material (silicone versus saline), position and incision location are all decisions which are undertaken with the patient and tailored to her individual need.

Botox

Botox can have an effectiveness that varies just a bit from individual to individual. Therefore, Dr. Mosser uses a precise mapping technique to ensure uniform results, and to develop a treatment plan that is uniquely tailored to each individual patient. All of the injections performed in Dr. Mosser’s office are done by Dr. Mosser himself. The benefits are the predictable, reliable effects from each visit, and the minimal discomfort from his extra gentle technique.

Liposuction

You can achieve the body that you want. Body contouring through liposuction is an excellent option for many people. Those patients with relative areas of fat excess (like love-handles, abdominal or saddlebag areas) benefit the most from liposuction, but any generalized areas of fat excess also respond well to the procedure. Dr. Mosser utilizes several liposuction techniques depending on the demands of the specific area, including the new Vaser liposuction technique.

The quality of the skin will help determine if liposuction alone, or if liposuction combined with other procedures is right for the patient. This determination is made by a doctor’s examination during consultation, and will help you understand what is involved in the extent of the surgery to be done.
