Dr. Peter J. Taub, M.D., F.A.C.S., F.A.A.P. graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha honors and special recognition for research in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City.  He completed a residency in General Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center, taking time between his third and fourth years to serve as the teaching resident for the surgery clerkship and to conduct research in gene therapy.  He subsequently completed a second residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles and a Fellowship in Craniofacial Surgery with Dr. Henry Kawamoto, M.D., D.D.S.  Dr. Taub is certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery . He is a member of numerous national professional societies including the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Society of Plastic Surgery, the Americian Cleft Palate Association, the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgery, and the Plastic Surgery Research Council.  He has served as Chief of Craniofacial and Pediatric Plastic Surgery at New York Medical College and Westchester Medical Center.  Currently, he is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center and serves as the Chief of Craniofacial Surgery and Associate Director of the Residency Training Program.  He is the Co-Director of the Mount Sinai Cleft and Craniofacial Center and Director of the Mount Sinai Vascular Anomalies Center.  He has published numerous articles and spoken at numerous institutions on topics in the field of Plastic Surgery, including original advancements in Cosmetic and Craniofacial Surgery.

Dr. Taub is a native New Yorker and a member of the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Mount Sinai Medical Center. He currently serves as the Chief of Craniofacial Surgery and is a Co-Director of the city's oldest Cleft and Craniofacial Center. Dr. Taub is certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery . He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S.) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (F.A.A.P.).
